Do we need a trial?
We recommend one. We try your hair and make-up together, with your accessories, so you know exactly how you will look and nothing is left to chance on the morning. Trials are usually two to three months before the wedding.
How early will you arrive on the morning?
About twenty minutes before the first person sits down, to set up. We work the start time out from your ceremony time and your party, so everyone is finished an hour before you need to leave.
Do you travel to our venue or home?
Yes. We cover all of Kent and the Surrey and Sussex borders, at home or at your venue. Venues we know well include The Buttery & Glasshouse, The Castle at Westenhanger, Hotel du Vin in Tunbridge Wells and Port Lympne. There may be a travel charge depending on your venue, and it is in your quote.
How many people can you get ready?
We love petite parties, from just the bride to about six people. With two of us working side by side, a small party is finished sooner than you might expect. For a bigger party, ask us and we will see what the morning allows.
How do we secure our date?
Check your date on the website, then send us your enquiry. We reply with a quote, and a £40 deposit secures your date. It comes off your balance, and it is fully refundable if you decide not to go ahead.
Can bridesmaids have just hair, or just make-up?
Of course. Everyone can choose hair, make-up or both, and the form works out your estimate as you go.
What should I do to prepare my skin and hair?
Keep your skincare as it is in the weeks before, and leave new treatments and facials until after the wedding. Come to your trial and the morning with clean, dry hair, washed the day before, and a clean face.
Will you stay until I am dressed?
Yes, unless you would rather we did not. We have laced corsets, hooked buttons and even put on shoes: it is all part of a calm wedding morning.
Do you work on weekdays?
Mostly we work weekend weddings, but some weekdays are possible on request. Check your date and ask us.
Can you add hair extensions?
Yes. Lisa specialises in clip-in hair extensions and blends them so they look like your own hair.
Do you do spray tans?
Elise does Sienna X spray tans before the wedding. Ask us when you enquire.
